TACSS TEXAS ASSOCIATION OF
CACTUS & SUCCULENT SOCIETIESFounded April 1981
Purpose:
The purpose of this organization is conservation, education and information dissemination as well as activity coordination among the affiliate societies.
Meetings:
TACSS has two scheduled meetings per year. There is a business meeting held in Austin in conjunction with the ACSS Spring Show & Sale. The second annual meeting takes place in the form of a seminar hosted by one of the affiliate societies in the fall.
The 2010 TACSS Fall Seminar will be held on October 2nd at the Houston Arboretum. Contact Josie Watts at josiewatts@mindspring.com for more information.

Membership:
TACSS membership categories include society membership (through affiliate societies dues are paid by the society which distributes TACSS publications) and associate membership (dues are paid by individuals who receive direct mailing of TACSS publications).

Dues:
Membership dues are $2.00 per year for society members (paid by member society) and $5.00 per year for associate member families (one or more individuals residing at the same address).
Publications:
At least two TACSS newsletters are printed and distributed by the Executive Director to all affiliate societies and associate members each year.
