Cactus & Succulent Society
The
Austin Cactus & Succulent Society promotes the interest, study,
propagation, conservation, and public awareness of cacti and other
succulents.
Club meetings are
held at 7:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at
the Austin Area Garden
Center in Zilker Botanical Garden. In December we have a holiday
party and the place and time vary.

The Austin Cactus &
Succulent Society is proud to host the 2013 CSSA Biennial Convention
at the Sheraton Austin at the Capitol from June 15th to 20th.

Other Activities
We have two show and sales each year, one
in the spring and one in the fall. We have occasional field trips
to ranches and nurseries to observe succulents in habitat and “in
captivity”. We have an extensive library
of cactus and succulent publications which is available for members
to use. Membership also includes a subscription to The Cacto-Files,
our monthly newsletter.
Membership in our society shall be open to anyone having an active
interest in cacti and succulents. Our membership includes people
of varied backgrounds, ages, and interests. Annual dues are $15
for individuals and $20 for two or more people at the same address.
Dues after the July meeting are half price – $7.50 and $10
respectively. There is an additional $5 fee for a mailed, hard copy
of the newsletter. Nametags are $20. Click here
